Local Area Well Represented With Girls All State Selections

The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has named their All State selections and North Central Iowa is well represented. Three time defending State Champions, Newell-Fonda had four players on the list. Macy Sievers and Ella Larsen were selected to the 1st team. Bailey Sievers and Maggie Walker were named 2nd team. Newell-Fonda’s Dick Jungers was named 1A Coach Of The Year.

Bishop Garrigan’s 1,2 punch of Audi Crooks and Molly Joyce garnered 1st team honors, their teammate Kayln Meyers was named to the 3rd team.

Paton Churdan’s Danielle Hoyle, Emmetsburg’s Abbie Schany and Clarion’s Raven Kinnetz all garnered third team honors.

“The Newell-Fonda Four” have three straight State Titles together and their Seniors have won over a 100 games in the last fours season with just two losses in that span.

Audi Crooks has scored over 1,100 points and grabbed over 550 rebounds in the last two seasons. Her Teammate Molly Joyce averaged over 18 points per game this season.

Paton Churdan’s Danielle Hoyle averaged over 20 points and 10 boards per game. Schany averaged over 15 points a night for Emmetsburg. Raven Kinnetz stuffed the stat sheet averaging over 14 points, 4 steals and just under 4 assists per contest for Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.
