Northwestern College To Play Without Star QB In NAIA National Title Game

Northwestern College out of Orange City, Iowa is set to take on Lindsey Wilson College (Kentucky) in Monday’s NAIA National Title Game. The game is set to be played at a neutral site, Eddie Robinson Stadium in Grambling, Louisiana. Northwestern will be without star QB Tyson Kooima, he was injured on the game winning pass play in the Semifinals. Northwestern knocked off two time defending National Champs, #1 Morningside in the Semifinals. Here’s Northwestern Head Coach Matt Mccarty on being without Kooima on Monday night.

Mccarty says Kooima’s role coming into the National Title Game, has been helping backup QB Blake Fryar prepare. Kickoff is set for 6 Pm Monday. It will mark the 1st time Northwestern has played for the NAIA National Title since 1984.
