Police Investigating Wednesday Afternoon Shooting Incident In Fort Dodge

The Fort Dodge PD is investigating a Wednesday Afternoon shooting incident. Shortly after 4 PM Wednesday officers from the FDPD were dispatched to a call of shots fired in the 2100 Block of 8th Ave South in Fort Dodge. Officers responded to the area and found a vehicle on 4th Ave. South that matched the description of a vehicle allegedly involved in the incident, the vehicle had damage from gunfire. Police say occupants from two separate vehicles shot at each other on 8th Ave South. No injuries were reported in the shooting but a small child was playing outside in the area during the incident. The FDPD is still investigating, no arrests have been made as of the time of this report. Anyone with info on this incident is asked to contact the Fort Dodge Police.
