Rep. Ann Meyer (R-Fort Dodge) filed her nomination petitions with the Secretary of State’s Office to seek re-election to District 9 in the Iowa House this fall. The district is comprised of the city of Fort Dodge and rural portions of Webster County.
Meyer Said “I am incredibly honored to represent the people of Fort Dodge and the surrounding community in in the Iowa House. It is humbling to serve as the people’s voice in Des Moines and make sure their priorities are being addressed,” “I look forward to hearing from the people in the district so I can take their ideas back to the Statehouse for lawmakers to act on.”
Meyer is serving her first term in the Iowa House after being elected in 2018. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the House Human Resources Committee. Meyer is a health care professional who has worked as a nurse and nursing instructor for more than 32 years.

Meyer went on to say “We have made great progress to ensure that Iowans have access to affordable health care, and that includes mental health. However, we cannot rest on our accomplishments and must work to make Iowa an even better to place to live, work, and raise a family.”
