Shot Clock Coming To Iowa High School Hoops

For the 1st time ever, the shot clock era is coming to Iowa High School Basketball. The IHSAA and IGHSAU has ruled to adopt , a 35 second shot clock for the 2022-2023 season. The move will be adopted in all classes across Iowa.

This coming season will be the last to be played without a shot clock. The announcement coming over a year in advance will give schools time to install a shot clock in their gyms.

Iowa now becomes the 9th state in the county to adopt the shot clock at the high school level.
