Tritons Topped At Home After Strong Second Half From 2nd Ranked Snow

Iowa Central Football fell at home to 2nd ranked Snow College 48-18 on Saturday. Both defenses dominated early on and allowed just a field goal each in the 1st half. The Tritons hung tough through the 1st half and the game was tied at 3.

Snow would explode in the 2nd half, outscoring Iowa Central 45-15 after the break to pull away. Snow DB Xavier Spann took the opening kick of the 2nd half back for a TD. The Badgers seized momentum when DE Robert Fuentes fell on a Triton fumble in the end zone, that put Snow up two scores. Snow added a FG and Mekhi Kimble TD run to score 24 unanswered.

Iowa Central got a 1 yard TD run from QB Byron Jarrett, he would score on a 5 yard TD run later in the the game.

Snow put the game away down the stretch. The Badgers got another TD run from Kimble, a TD catch from Tehjuan Palmer and LB Kole Hogan ran a fumble back 78 yards to pay dirt.

With the win, Snow moves to 7-0 on the season and stays in the thick of the NJCAA National Title hunt. Iowa Central falls to 3-3 with the loss.

The Tritons are back in action Saturday hosting Ellsworth at Dodger Stadium.
