Webster County Board of Supervisors Name New Animal Control Officer

A new animal control contract for Webster County was awarded to a new individual today.

The Webster County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a bid submitted by Webster County Animal Protection owner Kaila Blomberg.

The new contract will go into effect after notice has been given to the current animal control officer.

Alpha media News Director Brooke Bickford spoke with Blomberg about the opportunity and her plans for the position.

“My main goals for Webster County Animal Protection is to improve the communication between our law enforcement, our community and animal control. When animals are picked up,

I want to be able to clearly and effectively communicate with the community and let them know. My goal for the feral cat population is to help get that under control and I want to have open communication with the public.” Blomberg said

The Webster County Animal Control Officer is a contract position that is paid for in part by the city of Fort Dodge and the county.
