Webster County Man Sentenced To Federal Time For Gun Charge

A Webster County man will spend the next two years in federal prison. 26 year old Fort Dodge resident, Justice Terry has been sentenced after pleading guilty in Sept. of 202 to a federal weapons charge. The charge stems from an incident in 2019, in which Police say Terry assaulted his girlfriend. He was stopped by police and a searched turned up a loaded handgun and drugs. Terry was prohibited from possessing a gun. Prior to the federal sentencing in this case, Terry pleaded guilty on state charges for the assault on his girlfriend. He was sentenced on the weapons charge to 24 months in federal prison. There is no parole in the federal system.
