#1 Fort Dodge Softball Opens Quest For “The Big Gold Trophy” Tuesday Night

Fort Dodge Softball will take their first steps towards a run at the State Title on Tuesday night. The #1 Dodgers take on 8 seed Bettendorff in a rematch of last year’s State Quarterfinals. The Dodgers took that game 7-0. However, Coach Andi Adams says this year’s Bettendorff squad is dangerous after they knocked off then #1 Muscatine in the Regional Finals.

The Dodgers have 8 of their everyday starters back from last year’s club, which had the best finish in program history. Coach Adams feels like that experience could be a factor.

This year the expectations for Fort Dodge are at an all time high. This postseason could well be the culmination of something years in the making.
