Area players from various boys programs have captured postseason honors. Fort Dodge had a pair of all league honorees. Also, a trio of area players were recognized as being some of the best in Iowa.
Fort Dodge landed two players on the All-CIML list. Senior Averey Martin garnered to the 2nd team after leading Fort Dodge in scoring at just over 13 points per game. Junior Bradley Vodraska was named All-CIML Honorable Mention.
South Central Calhoun, East Sac County, and Bishop Garrigan all landed players on the All State list. Brennan Holder for South Central Calhoun was named to 2nd team All State. Holder was the leading scorer for a South Central Calhoun team that made the State Tournament. Holder has now been named All State in football and basketball in the same academic year. East Sac County’s Camden Schroeder was named 1st team All State after having a stellar Senior season. He had the top scoring performance of the season across Iowa with 53 points in a single game. Winkel led all of Iowa in total points scored as was named to the 1st team. It is his 3rd All State selection overall and his second time as a 1st team selection.
