#1 Fort Dodge Softball cruised past Des Moines North 12-0 in 3 innings at Rogers Park Thursday Night. Loghen Schnetzer continues to be on a tear at the plate, she had a 3 run homer in the 1st her 9th of the season. Schnetzer also with 4 RBI’s in the game, she leads the state in RBI’s and tied for the state lead in home runs coming into Thursday’s game. Malia Lowrey, Chloe Wertz, And TK Doster all with 2 hits each. Jalen Adams and Haley Wills combined to throw a no hitter in 3 innings of work.
Dodger Baseball a double header sweep of Des Moines North at Mcneil Field. Dodgers took game one 13-1 in 5 innings and game two 15-0 in 4 innings. Seniors Nick Bice and Mason Bockoven with big Senior Night performances they both 4 hits on the night. Dodgers scored in every half inning in the two games. The Cone Brothers got wins on the hill, the Senior twins worked a combined 9 innings allowing just one run. Nelson Cone the win in game one and Easton Cone the win in game two tossing a shutout.
St. Edmond Softball dropped both games to North Union Thursday. The 1st game was a continuation of a game that was postponed due to weather about two weeks ago. North Union took game one 7-3, they had a 4-3 lead in the 4th that carried from the postponed game. North Union then took game two 7-4. Kaili Henning and Jocy Timmerman both with a pair of doubles on the night for St. Edmond. Elsewhere around the area in softball, Manson NW Webster edged Pocahontas Area in a thriller 13-12 and Humboldt gave Algona it’s 1st loss of the season 4-2. In Baseball, Newell-Fonda an 8-3 winner over OABCIG and Greene County over South Hamilton 13-2.
