Carroll County Issues Mask Mandate

A mask mandate is now in place in Carroll County. The Board Of Supervisors for Carroll County met last Friday Nov. 13th and voted to approve a mask mandate 4-1. The ordinance is very similar to the one Greene County passed just a day prior. The resolution requires face covering in public in Carroll County when people can’t appropriately social distance. Exceptions to that mandate will be for those who are exercising or while eating inside a restaurant.  The mask mandate will be in effect the rest of this calendar year until the middle of January, the county will then re-evaluate and could possibly extend it at that time. As of Friday Morning Nov. 13th, Carroll County had a cumulative Covid-19 case count of over 1,600. Nearly 1,000 of those are considered recovered leaving over 600 cases still active as of Friday Morning.
