Coach Bill Shirbroun Talks Hot Streak For St. Edmond Softball

In sports, we often hear about “working the process” or “trusting the process”. That comes to mind with St. Edmond Softball. Coach Bill Shirbroun is in his 2nd year at the helm and is guiding St. Edmond through the process. The Gaels had won 8 in a row prior to Saturday afternoon’s loss to Van Meter. The Bulldogs are a ranked 2A team. Gauging where you are and dropping games to Van Meter is part of the process of getting your program on the same plateau. Coach Shirbroun joined the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” on Saturday morning. That conversation preceded the loss to Van Meter. Shirbroun talked about the hot streak his team is on. He talked about how his team turned the corner after they squandered a 9-0 lead and lost to Southeast Valley. The conversation is below.
