“Dome Sweet Dome” For South Central Calhoun Football

It will be “dome sweet dome” for South Central Calhoun Football this weekend.

Mark Williamson on the final call as South Central Calhoun avenged their regular season loss knocking off Southeast Valley 26-6 Friday Night. Titans never trailed in the game, they got on the board first with a Blake Mcalister 2nd quarter TD run and added the 2 pt conversion to lead 8-0. Late in the 1st half, Titans picked off a Kolson Kruse pass and returned it into Southeast Valley territory. That would set up a TD pass from Titans QB Cole Corey to Evan Jacobs. South Central Calhoun led 14-0 at the half. To open the 2nd half, Southeast Valley would put together a TD drive. Kolson Kruse was 4 of 5 on that drive and would ounch it in with a TD run, Jags 2 pt. try would fail and they would trail 14-6. Later in the 2nd half, Blake Mcalister would get his 2nd rushing TD of the night to put SC Calhoun up 20-6. With less than 5 minutes left in the game, Mcalister would get a “pick 6” on defense to seal the deal for SC Calhoun. Mcalister had 131 rushing yards and 3 total TD’s in the game.

The Titans punched their ticket to the State Semifinals this coming weekend at the UNI Dome. They will look for retribution from their postseason loss last year as they take on Van Meter. The game will be the early game Saturday Morning. Alpha Media Sports will have coverage beginning with the pregame show at 8:45 AM, kickoff at 9 AM on the home for South Central Calhoun Football 105.9 “The Beach” and yourfortdodge.com.
