Fort Dodge Man Accused Of Kidnapping And Assault Claims Alibi

A Fort Dodge man accused of a assault and kidnapping in Humboldt County in 2019 has pleaded not guilty and says her can prove his innocence. 24 year old Levi Allen Goodell is charged with second degree kidnapping and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. Court documents say Goodell entered a Humboldt woman’s home in March 2019, choked her and dragged her out by the hair to his car. Goodell is accused of then driving the woman around and pointing a gun at her. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and claims that his parole officer and GPS data from the Iowa Dept. Of Corrections will show where he was at the time of the incident. His trial is set to begin in August.
