Fort Dodge Man Arrested For Attempted Murder After Hitting Pedestrian With A Car Saturday

A Webster County man has been arrested on various charges after police say, he drove on the sidewalk to intentionally hit a pedestrian with his car. The incident occurred Saturday evening in the 10 Block of North 10th St in Fort Dodge.

Police say that 52 year old, Edward E. Brown of Fort Dodge was the driver and 57 year old, James L.Altman of Fort Dodge was the victim. The report from the Fort Dodge PD says, officers found Altman on the scene suffering from significant injuries and found a vehicle in the area with damage to the front end.

Altman was transported to Unity Point Fort Dodge then transferred to a Des Moines area hospital. Edward E. Brown is charged with attempted murder, willful serious injury, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
