Fort Dodge Man Arrested On Weapons Charges Friday

An arrest has been made following a fight earlier this month outside of a local bar. The Fort Dodge PD was dispatched to Brass Monkey Lounge in the early morning hours of Nov. 7th. The original report police received was that a man displayed a gun while inside the bar. Officers discovered the suspect had left the area prior to their arrival. They then located the suspect nearby but at that time time officers say they didn’t have enough evidence to make an arrest. On Friday Nov. 13th, officers executed a search warrant at a house on 4th Ave. North in Fort Dodge. The suspect from the incident at Brass Monkey 29 year old , Tavin R. Daudinot was arrested on two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, going armed while intent and assault while displaying a weapon. The statement from the FDPD regarding the arrest also said that narcotics were recovered in the execution of the warrant and that portion of the incident was still being investigated.
