Fort Dodge Police Investigating Gun That Was Dumped In Bushes Wednesday

A gun was found Wednesday, in the bushes by the Lord’s Cupboard Of Fort Dodge ( Corner Of 2nd Ave. North and North 10th St). After being called to the scene. officers with Fort Dodge PD located and collected the gun just before 5 PM.

Captain Ryan Gruenberg of the FDPD, said in an email Thursday morning “as of this time we are unsure as to why the gun was left there?”

The gun was described by police to have appeared to be ” a small caliber rifle” . Police are continuing to investigate the matter. Anyone with info is encouraged to contact the Fort Dodge Police Dept.
