Fort Dodge Wrestling Opens Season With Impressive Showing

4th ranked Fort Dodge Wrestling opened their season Saturday at the Indianola Invitational. The Dodgers had an impressive showing finishing 2nd in the team standings. Host team, Indianola won the event by just one point. Two time State Champ Drake Ayala moved up in weight and wrestled at 132 from his usual 126. Ayala went unbeaten on the day at 132. Several other Dodgers had undefeated days including last year’s State Runner Up Dreyzon Phillips who wrestled this event at 145. Freshman Dru Ayala at 106, Max Bishop at 113, Carter Forbes at 120 and Lane Cowell at 126 all went unbeaten as well.
