High School Basketball From 12-9 And Line Up For 12-10
The South Central Calhoun Titans basketball teams swept both the girls and boys games at home Monday night against Manson NW Webster. South Central Calhoun’s girls team came out on fire as they went on a 24-5 run to open the game. They would cruise to the victory 58-35 double digit scoring efforts from Emma Mckinney with 21 and Riley Batta with 15. The SCC girls remain unbeaten on the season. In the boys game the Titans would have no trouble vs the Cougars building a 39-20 halftime lead. SCC’s Josh Dietrich led all scorers with 22 and Brendon Holder added 12. The cougars got 17 from Dayton Snell and 12 from Austin Anliker. South Central Calhoun is back in action Tues. Dec 10th hosting Webster City the girls pregame show is scheduled for 6:15 PM with the boys to follow. The Fort Dodge Dodgers will be in action Tuesday night hosting Ames. The Dodgers are at home after a tumultuous road stretch last week. The Dodger girls look to get back in the win column and look to improve after turning the ball over 27 times in their last game at 7th ranked Urbandale. The Dodger boys played 4 games last week and opened the season with a home win on Dec. 2nd vs Indianola 61-59. Since that game the Dodger boys have lost 3 in a row and have scored less than 50 points in any single game. The Gaels of St. Edmond are in action Tuesday hosting Southeast Valley. The St. Edmond girls are looking for their 1st win of the year.
