Iowa Bars Prepare to Reopen

IOWA BARS ARE PREPARING FOR THEIR REOPENING DAY NEXT THURSDAY.  SEVERAL GUIDELINES WILL BE IN PLACE AS THEY ARE FOR RESTAURANTS.  JESSICA DUNKER, WITH THE IOWA RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION, SPOKE WITH RADIO IOWA REGARDING REOPENING, NOTING THAT THE GOVERNOR’S PREVIOUS PROCLAMATION LOOSENING RESTRICTIONS ON RESTAURANTS WAS CONFUSING BECAUSE RESTAURANTS SERVING ALCOHOL WERE ALLOWED TO OPEN TO SIT DOWN CUSTOMERS.  SHE NOTED BUSINESS WILL NOT RETURN TO NORMAL AND OUTLINED SOME OF THE GUIDELINES NECESSARY FOR REOPENING

.  SHE ALSO REMINDED EVERYONE TO FOLLOW RULES AND MANDATES.  DUNKER STATED THAT THE STATE CAN’T WRITE GUIDANCE FOR EVERYTHING AND THAT CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR CHANGES.  DANCE FLOORS WILL REMAIN CLOSED, AS WILL DARTS AND POOL.  BARS WILL ALSO HAVE TO MAINTAIN FIFTY PERCENT CAPACITY WHEN THEY REOPEN.
