Iowa Basketball Pulls Out Tough Road Win In Top 25 Showdown Saturday
In a game heard Saturday on “Iowa’s Favorite Country” K97, Iowa Basketball got a road win in a match up of ranked teams edging Rutgers 77-75. Free throw shooting was the difference as Iowa hit 18 of 23 and Rutgers shot just 4 of 12 from the foul line. Rutgers has 5 players in double figures, including a team high 17 from Jacob Young. Iowa was able to hold Rutgers standout, Ron Harper Jr. to 13 points after he came in averaging 24 per game in his career vs Iowa. For Iowa, Luka Garza led the way with a game high 25. Freshman Keegan Murray had 14 points and 9 boards, and also was 5 for 5 on free throws. Jordan Bohannon had a bakers dozen points and 4 assists in the win.
