Iowa Central Baseball Sweeps North Iowa, Advances In Regional Tournament

Iowa Central Baseball has advanced to the Regional Tournament after sweeping North Iowa 6-4 and 9-0. Jack Sievers belted a 3 run homer in the 1st game that gave the Tritons their largest lead at 6-1. Brock Johnson had two RBI’s in the opener as well.

The Tritons had no trouble in the 2nd game, they jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the 2nd inning. Four different Tritons had two hits a piece in the game. Johnson had two more RBI’s to give him a total of 4 in the two game set.

Iowa Central is now 33-21 on the season. They’ll be back in action at the Regional Tournament on Friday in Cedar Rapids.
