Late Scoring Run Helps St. Edmond Pull Away And Remain Unbeaten

In a special “Thursday Night Lights” edition of high school football on “Sunny” 99.7 and here on our website, St.Edmond moved to 3-0 beating North Union 53-27. The Gaels led 27-21 after 3 quarters and would go on a 26-6 run in the 4th to pull away. QB Drew Schaeffer with 4 Total TD’s, 2 passing and 2 rushing. He was 14 of 22 passing for 217 yards. Gaels had 100 yard rushing games from  FB Tyler Rossmanith and Kase Baker. Rossmanith carried 20 times for 120 yards, a rushing TD and had a TD catch. Baker had 100 yards on 15 carries, a TD and a “Pick 6” on defense. WR Parker Oswald had 6 catches for 142 yards and a score. Gaels defense allowed just 20 yards passing, while the offense rolled up over 500 total yards. St. Edmond scored 21 points off of 4 forced turnovers. Gaels will take on defending Class A State Champions West Hancock on the road in week 4.
