The man convicted of killing Reverend Al Henderson will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Fort Dodge resident Joshua Pendelton was convicted of 1st degree murder earlier this year.
Pendelton was sentenced Friday to life in prison. During court proceedings, Pendlton’s attorney attempted to use an insanity defense. His long and documented history of mental illness was cited in court.
Henderson died after he was found unresponsive outside Fort Dodge’s St. Paul Lutheran Church in October 2019.
