Man In Custody After High Speed Chase Across Four Counties

A Des Moines man is facing multiple charges after police say he led them on a high speed chase across four counties. 43 year old, John Buroyne was already wanted on several warrants and now faces additional drug and traffic charges stemming from the chase.

Burgoyne was clocked doing nearly 100 MPH in a sports car, early Thursday morning. He refused to stop when the Iowa State Patrol attempted to pull him over. The Iowa State Patrol says the chase went through Polk, Jasper, Marshall and Story Counties.

The chase ended when police say, Burgoyne and a passenger were found inside the vehicle on a Story County farm. Reportedly, Burgoyne had rented the Maserati he was driving and never returned it.
