Newell-Fonda Football Coach Brian Wilken Talks Playoff Loss To Audubon

Coach Brian Wilken and Newell-Fonda drew a juggernaut in the 8 player class in Audubon for the 3rd round. Mustangs hung tough against Audubon as they trailed just 14-6 at the half. In the 3rd Quarter Audubon would put together two TD drives to pull away and ultimately win 28-6. Coach Wilken joined Rob Jones Saturday Morning on the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” to talk about the loss to Audubon.Coach Wilken was mostly focused on the finality of the season that loss brings and for good reason. He did however talk about this year’s squad bouncing back after missing the playoffs last year. Newell-Fonda finished at 8-2 on the season with losses to #2 Remsen-St. Mary’s and #3 Audubon.
