One Man Stands Alone Facing Murder Charges From 2020 Shooting In FD

One man now stands alone to face murder charges stemming from a shooting that killed two people last June. 55 year old, Michael Shivers of Eagle Grove now is the only one of the five men originally charged with murder stemming from that incident.

The five originally charged included 23 year old Darrell Jones, 22 year old Jeremiha Hatten, 33 year Michael Wells and 36 year old James Davis Jr. all of Fort Dodge. Jones, Wells and Hatten all had murder charges against them dropped earlier this year. Murder charges against Davis Jr. were recently dropped.

The four men have been charged with other crimes stemming from the incident. The shooting happened in the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood of Fort Dodge in June of 2020. Jamael Cox and Tyrone Cunningham were killed in the incident and two others were injured.
