Reynolds On In Person Classes

 

IN A RECENT PRESS CONFERENCE, GOVERNOR KIM REYNOLDS SPOKE ABOUT GUIDELINES IN PLACE FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS THIS FALL.  CURRENTLY, DISTRICTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST TEN PERCENT OF STUDENTS ABSENT AND MUST HAVE A ROLLING, 14-DAY AVERAGE OF 15 PERCENT POSITIVE TESTS IN A DISTRICT TO MOVE ONLINE.  WEBSTER COUNTY IS ONE OF SEVEN COUNTIES THAT CURRENTLY MEET THE GUIDELINES FOR ONLINE ONLY INSTRUCTION, BUT REYNOLDS TOLD RADIO IOWA IT’S UNLIKELY WAIVERS WOULD BE APPROVED IN WEBSTER COUNTY.

REYNOLDS SAID THAT THE THREE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN WEBSTER COUNTY, INCLUDING FORT DODGE, SHOULD PREPARE FOR IN PERSON LEARNING THIS FALL.

REYNOLDS FURTHER STATED THAT TEACHERS AND STAFF SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO WORK IF THEY BEEN EXPOSED TO THE VIRUS BUT ARE NOT SHOWING SYMPTOMS.
