SE Valley Coach Mike Swieter Talks District Title Win & 7-0 Regular Season

Southeast Valley has had an incredible 2020 regular season and has captured the District Title. The Jags along the way beat South Central Calhoun for the 1st time in SCC’s school history and broke a 30 game regular season win streak for them as well. The District came down to the final week of the regular season and a showdown with Pocahontas Area. Jags trailed 13-12 at half, they would strike 1st after the break going up 20-13 after they got the 2 pt. conversion. Pocahontas Area would counter with a TD drive to tie it at 20. Southeast Valley would put together a late TD drive capped by a Kolson Kruse TD run but would fail the 2pt. try and lead 26-20. They had left the door open for a late TD and PAT that would’ve won it for Pocahontas Area. However, Kaleb Scott would shut that door picking off a pass late and SEV would win the game and title 26-20. Coach Mike Swieter joined Rob Jones Saturday Morning on the Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner On “Sunny” 99.7. That entire conversation is below.
