St. Edmond Baseball moved to 3-0 on the season Wednesday night with a 2-1 win over Iowa Falls-Alden in a game heard on “Sunny” 99.7 and here on our website. The game was tied at 1 in the bottom of the 7th when Gaels Sophomore Drew Szalat came to the plate with the bases loaded.

Coach Mike Szalat said coming into the season he thought his team’s biggest strength would be its pitching staff. So far that has absolutely been the case as the Gaels pitching staff has allowed just two runs in their 1st three games of the season. Gaels Baseball is back in action Monday June 22nd vs Algona.
