St. Edmond Cross Country’s Mike Szalat On Winning Conference Title

Mike Szalat has been the leader of the St. Edmond Cross Country program for over 20 years. Prior to this year he had lead the Girls program to one conference title and multiple appearances in the State Meet. The Gaels Girls won their 2nd North Central Conference Title under Coach Szalat earlier this week. The St. Edmond boys finished 4th in the meet as they are working through some injuries and adversity. Coach Szalat was a guest on the “Hy-Vee Fort Dodge Coaches Corner” on 99.7 on Saturday. He joined Rob Jones to talk about the win at the Conference Meet and to preview the upcoming District Meet.
