State Senate Looking At Legislation To Help Farmers

The Iowa State Senate recently discussed a possible update to a law that would benefit farmers. Senate File 231, if made law would allow for a special drivers license for a minor who lives or works on an Iowa farm. That license would allow those minors to drive legally between 5 AM and 10 PM to help with farm work. State Senator Jesse Green of Harcourt said, “This bill makes a common sense update to this law. This legislation is just one way, we can help hardworking farmers and their families.”
