Tyson Foods Issues Statement On Covid-19 Cases At Storm Lake Plants

Tyson Foods released a statement regarding the dramatic increase of COVID-19 cases in Buena Vista County. Liz Croston is a spokesperson for the company, she says that Tyson is working closely with health officials locally and has conducted wide scale testing at plants in Storm Lake.  She says the company plans to release will test results once the data is available. The statement says that the company’s top priority is the health and safety of its employees their families and communities.   She says they have implemented a host of protective measures throughout their plants that meet or exceed CDC and OSHA guidelines.  The statement also says they have slowed the line speed in several facilities based on the availability of employees and to ensure social distancing.
