The City Of Fort Dodge Public Works Dept. issued the below statement on Thursday.

Due to a water main break and loss of pressure on August 4, 2021, the City of Fort Dodge advises customers identified
below to boil their drinking water.
This advisory is for N 7th St north of Loomis Park, including Miller Dr and the 700 block of 28th Ave N.

Customers in
other areas of the City of Fort Dodge are not affected and do not need to boil their water.
Customers should:
o Fill a pot with water.
o Heat the water until bubbles come quickly from the bottom of the pot to the top.
o Keep heating the water for one moreminute.
o Turn off the heat source and let the water cool.
o Pour water into a clean, sanitized containerwith a cover forstorage.

Customers should use boiled water that has cooled or bottled water for:
o Drinking
o Brushing teeth
o Washing fruits and vegetables
o Preparing food and baby formula
o Making ice
o Giving to pets
This boil water advisory is a precaution. To limit risk, customers should follow the instructions contained in this
release.
This boil water advisory is in effect until the City of Fort Dodge and USW determine the situation is corrected. Affected
customers will be notified immediately when the advisory is lifted.
