Webster County Board Of Health Votes Yes On Mask Mandate That Would Carry Fines

Thursday Afternoon, the Webster County Board Of Health voted to pass a mask mandate. The mandate will now go the Webster County Supervisors Board to seek their approval before it can be implemented. The mandate would include fines of up to $750 dollars for the first offense and $1,000 for further offenses. County Supervisor Mark Campbell who is also on the Board Of Health was the lone vote against the mandate. The mandate if passed would apply to all of Webster County. It also would include fines for businesses that allow entry to customers not wearing a mask. This mandate follows the passing of a mask mandate by the Fort Dodge City Council, a few weeks ago.
