Webster County Public Health On Phase 1B Of The Covid-19 Vaccine

Webster County Public Health released a statement Tuesday regarding Phase 1B of the Covid-19 vaccination. Phase 1A has already begun with vaccinating healthcare workers and skilled nursing facility staff and residents. Public Health said they received guidance on Phase 1B but have not received the needed does of the vaccine as of yet. Webster County Public Health Director Kari Prescott said ” Iowa is still in a vaccine shortage. When we are able to vaccinate in Phase 1B, it will depend on how many doses we receive. Those doses will be tiered within Webster County. We will announce when Webster County is administering Phase 1B”. The Iowa Dept. Of Public Health said on Tuesday, it expects mass doses of the vaccine to be available for Phase 1B populations sometime in February.
