Weekend Shooting In Fort Dodge Leaves One Person Injured

A weekend shooting here in Fort Dodge resulted in one person being injured. The shooting was reported around 7 PM on Sunday Night. Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene at 4th Ave. South in Fort Dodge. Multiple shots were reportedly fired and one person was said to have been hit by gunfire. An unidentified 16 year old  female victim was taken via ambulance to Unity Point Hospital,  then transferred to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines to be treated for life threatening injuries suffered in the shooting. No arrests stemming from the incident have been announced as of yet and the police report issued Monday Morning stated they had no suspect information. Police are continuing to investigate the shooting. No further information was available as of the time of this report. We plan to have more on this story, as new details emerge.
