Wright County Officials Confirm 14 New Covid-19 Cases

Wright County Public Health Officials released a statement Monday confirming 14 additional covid-19 cases in the county. Mickey Cooper Wright County Public Health Chair said ” While Wright County Public Health Dept and Iowa Specialty Hospital continue to be aggressive in testing and identifying vulnerabilities to slow any spread of covid-19 we are seeing an increase in number of positives. ” The statement says many of the cases are asymptomatic meaning the individuals are showing no signs of having the virus. Sandy Mcgrath with Wright County Epidemiology said “We can’t emphasize enough to individuals and businesses how serious it is practice the necessary precautions including wearing face coverings, social distancing and limiting the size of gatherings to 10 people.” Wright County Public Health Officials did not release the age ranges of the new positive cases as of the time of this report.
