6th Grader Killed, Five Others Injured in Perry School Shooting

A sixth grade student was killed and five other people,  four of which were also students, were injured in a school shooting at Perry High School Thursday morning

DCI Special Agent Mitch Mortvedt says calls to dispatch began coming in at 7:47 am. He said the Perry Police Department was on the scene within minutes.

17 year old Dillan Butler has been identified as the only shooter. He was armed with a pump action shotgun and a small caliber handgun. Officials say he died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 

Roughly 150 officers responded to Perry following the reported shooting.
