Duncombe Business Raises Money for Children’s Hospital In Honor of Owner’s Mother

(Brooke Bickford – Alpha Media) Usually on a Friday night if you head out to Stumpy’s Bar and Grill in Duncombe you would find food, fun and drinks but tonight there is something pretty special planned.

Owner Bruce Wagner says there will be a special bartender from Los Angeles surviving up snazzy drinks and tip jars on the bar with all of the money raised going to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Wagner, who is best know to folks as Stumpy says tonight’s fundraising event is in honor of his mother who passed away last month.

“It was very important to my mother. I talked to her and I said hey whenever that time comes, what do you want to do with some money. She said I don’t want any cards or flowers, just give the money to St. Jude’s. So, the funeral money is all going to St. Jude’s, tonight we have this Tyler Mortinson from California who is going to make some specialty drinks in honor of my mother.”

Friday’s event will begin at 6pm and everyone is welcome to go into Stumpy’s to have a drink or a meal and donate a little or a lot of money to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Pat Wagner… who was better known as Stumpy’s best friend.
