Fort Dodge Juneteenth Celebration On The Grow in Fort Dodge

(Alpha Media – Brooke Bickford) This Saturday a celebration will be held in Fort Dodge ahead of the Juneteenth holiday that promotes community unity,  black history and a whole lot of fun for people of all ages. 

The event will start with an opening prayer at noon followed by speakers, presentations and music.

One of the organizers for the event, Charles Clayton says the celebration of Juneteenth is growing in Fort Dodge:

The event will be held from noon until around 6:00 pm  Saturday at the MLK Recreation Center, known to many as the AFES location at 712 3rd Street Northwest in Fort Dodge.
