Iowa State Patrol Gears Up to Hire New Officers

(Alpha Media – Brooke Bickford) – It’s a tough job but someone has to do it and the Iowa State Patrol is hoping that someone is you. The Iowa State Patrol is recruiting for the role of state trooper. Beginning January 14th people 18 and over who have an interest in becoming an Iowa State Trooper can apply for a position. According to Trooper Paul Gardner you don’t have to have a background in law enforcement to apply but you do need to have some patience.

Trooper Gardner says once an applicant is offered a job they then go to the Academy which is 20 weeks and held at Camp Dodge. You can find more information or apply at www.dpscareers.com
