2024 Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy Returns to Iowa

Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is making several stops across the state of Iowa campaigning this weekend.

The Ohio native and businessman spoke with Alpha Media News on Thursday about his time in the state and how his decision to run for president began after last year’s elections.

“I saw the red wave that never came last November and that really made me start thinking about how we’re gonna drive change at a higher scale in this country,” Ramaswamy said. “What I saw in the Republican Party was a lot of good people, but good people who were running from something. I think now is our moment to start running to something. We have to offer an alternative vision of our own. So if the left is serving us race, gender, sexuality and climate, I want us talking more about the value of the individual, family, nation, God.”

Ramaswamy’s campaign stops include visits in college towns like Iowa City. Earlier this week he spoke on a need in the nation to restore civic purpose.

“We’re in the middle of this identity crisis in our country where young people are taught to hate the United States,” he said. “16% of Gen Z says they are proud to be American. 60% of young Americans say they would rather give up their right to vote rather than give up their access to Tiktok, that’s dangerous.”
