A posting Alpha Media News was tagged in today made me think of the beauty of sports, especially this year and for this Hawkeye Women’s basketball team. The power of sports to bring us together in good times and in bad is a power that no other corner of the news business has.

For myself watching college women’s basketball grow has been amazing. It is a place in history that each and every athlete and coach that has had a hand in getting to this point should be proud of and one that I’m thinking Marie at the Grandview Care Center in Dayton, Iowa may have never thought she would see.

For all of the new fans and old of women’s athletics, and for Marie and her wish to meet Caitlin Clark this year before she turns 102 in July lets all say cheers to a great year and Lets go Hawks Tonight against UConn in the Final 4!!
