Family Surprises Fort Dodge Woman with Jeep Like One Her Husband Drove in WWII

This Sunday a special joy ride was had in front of the Marion Home in Fort Dodge.

Three generations came together to bring to life a moment frozen in time.

A photo of Joe Ivory who served in the Army Air Corp during World War II was one that some family hadn’t seen until Joe had passed away.

On Sunday, Joe’s wife Rita could be seen cruising in the fully restored Jeep that her family had been working to bring back to life in honor of her husband.

The photo became a passion project for Ben Doyle, Joe’s grandson.

He along with his dad and nephew worked to bring the moment back to life.

Alpha Media News was there to capture the moment on video to share. You can see it online at Fort Dodge News – Alpha Media on Facebook.
