Fort Dodge Man Arrested in String of Robberies

A Fort Dodge man has been arrested and charged in a string of robberies ranging from a Fort Dodge bar to three convenience stores this past fall.

According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, 21 year old Roberto Ramírez faces charges involved in the three robberies and a burglary that occurred between October 18th through November 14th of 2022.

Investigators with the Fort Dodge Police Department Criminal Investigations Division have followed up on leads and witness statements over the past five months in regards to the robberies of  Jo Jo’s Cocktail Lounge on North 11th Street, the Sinclair Gas Station at 315 2nd Ave South and the New Star Mini Mart on Avenue C as well as the reported burglary of the Star Convenience Store on 5th Avenue South.

Ramirez is charged with two counts of first degree robbery, one count of second degree robbery and burglary in the third degree as well as a host of other non-felony charges.

He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
