Fort Dodge Man Charged with Attempted Murder Following Saturday Night Stabbing

A Fort Dodge man has been charged with attempted murder following an investigation into a stabbing incident Saturday night in Downtown Fort Dodge.

According to a release from the FD PD, at just before 11:20 pm the Webster County Telecommunications Center received a call of someone being stabbed in the area of the 10

block N 7th St.

When officers arrived on the scene they found 47‐year‐old Douglas A. Foy with a stab wound to the stomach. He received medical care and was transported to Unity Point Trinity

Regional Medical Center by ambulance before being taken to a Des Moines hospital with critical injuries.

44‐year‐old Donathan L. Williams of Fort Dodge was taken into custody and charged with Attempt to Commit Murder. The investigation is underway and any information is welcomed by the police and can be submitted anonymously through Webster County Crime Stoppers.

As with all cases, those charged are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
