Iowa DCI Investigating Eldora Fatal Shooting

A 13 year old girl was shot and killed last night in Eldora, a 12 year old boy has been arrested in connection with that shooting.
Law enforcement said police were called to the 800 block of 12th Street at around 5:30 p.m. for a reported shooting. Law enforcement responding to the scene took the 12 year old into custody.
Further details are pending at this time
Superintendent of South Hardin Schools Doctor Adam Zellmer made a public statement on the school’s Facebook page confirming that the girl who was killed was a student at South Hardin Middle School.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is now assisting in the investigation.
