Iowa State Patrol Troopers will be out in full force over the holiday weekend watching for impaired drivers.

Paul Gardner says the enforcement effort is always to try to make sure no one dies on Iowa roadways.

With nice weather planned through Tuesday, Trooper Gardner says it’s important to be very cautious of motorcycle traffic.

Trooper Gardner says the best way to keep yourself  and others protected while driving is to watch your speed and put down your phone.
